These are very nice, Kelly.
I think the thing I find most interesting about it is the dominance of the word "said" in the WebMage books and it's demotion with Black School. Since Black School was written between two and four it's not an evolution in my writing style but rather different voices for diferent books. WebMage is first person contemporary fantasy adventure/humor and Black School is third person YA alternate WWII fantasy history and very dark. I find the contrast in the way I use words for the two fascinating.
A close second for interest for me is the way character emphasis shifts through the books, with Melchior staying very close to the same all the way through but the others shift a lot. Tisiphone for example is invisible in book one slightly there in two and just behind Melchior in 3 and 4.
That's very cool.
