Monday Morning Open Thread (WIP and otherwise)

At this very moment my WIP is being asleep. But in a couple of hours it's back to SpellCrash with a side of pegboard organization. On the latter it's getting to be hardware time. On the former it's the end of chapter two and the giant smoked glass gazing ball of death. What about y'all!

The decluttering continues, as does the New and Improved version of New Book. I'd like to get 1K on that today, but we'll see how it goes. I'm being pretty lenient with myself for the month of December as far as writing goes.

Working on HQ now, will hit D&S revisions after lunch and/or tonight. Have various schoolly things to deal with for Cam's impending transfer. And there is always house work and Hannukah shopping.

And speaking of lunch....

My query letter is "done". I have sliced my synopsis from 15 pages down to 7. I'm hoping to shave another page-ish or so this week, but I'm on the verge of sticking a fork in it, because I think I'm liking how it reads. Then come the copy edits and corrections and some extra little things to add/fix in the manuscript and THEN... I start submitting.

Jonathan, if you can take a bit more off that'd be great, but if you've got it that short and your happy with it, you're probably doing good.

I'm quitting on RESURRECTION CODE for the day, though I fell a bit short of my 1,000 word goal. I'm off to go sledding with Mason.

I'm going to try to shave it down more. I'm aiming for five, but I'll be happy with 5 and 9/10s.

...doing well. (sigh)

X, I understand the lenient. It's what's keeping me from flipping out over being as far away from where I want to be as I am currently.

Doug, hope lunch was fabu.

Lyda, have fun on the slopes.

Yesterday, urg. Usual eight hours of three year old herding, prepare for and have a conference with A's parents, board meeting and online class, came home in between all that to find kids desperate to make oreo pudding pie. Assisted in pie making.
The beginning of this week is supposed to be for children's story writing and I did manage forty minutes of that.
Today: work, shoveling, Laura's having a volunteer party in our house, Tajah has volleyball semifinals, and death pixie meeting (stuff to critique for that. I forgot.). Why oh why do I look at blogs. I need to stop. Stopping now.
