Hey, can they give Wesley some chill lessons? The only time that cat ever sits still is when he's asleep. The boy ain't right. He is also a coward -- if he ever saw a bat, even a baby bat, he would squeal and try to hide in my shirt.
The chill has developed over time. A couple of the girls used to be stuck in the always on position too. With the bats we have three cats who freak out and leap around like maniacs to no effect, one just rolls her eyes and goes back to sleep, and Ash who seems to feel a certain amount of embarrassment for her fellow--she just kills them and has done with no drama.
Predators spend a lot of time resting. It takes too much energy to run around when you aren't hunting. Much better to sleep, until it's time to take out another bat.
Our two collections are printed in a limited edition of 250 numbered copies and signed by the contributors when available. Click on the images below to purchase them through Dreamhaven Books, or contact us to order directly.

Poor things. Their lives are so tough.
Do your cats do anything besides, you know, lay there and eat? Area rugs with ants could do as much. :)
Mostly that's it. Though, purring and whining also make the list. Oh, and Ash can take down a bat like nobody's business.
Man, it's so hard to be a cat.
