Writing and Cats

There are a number of writing bloggers that end up writing (or taking videos) of their cats behavior as they try to write. Even our own Kelly writes missives to the Feline Collective. Well, now it's my turn. Here's my darling, Ms. All Ball, LURKING out from behind my fancy new flat screen monitor. And see my important writing... er, wait, that's Mahjong. Oh, maybe she's not lurking so much as nagging....

Tate,

Your cat is lovely and has such an interesting name. How did she come to be called "Ms. All Ball"?

That's so much more helpful than Humor, whose favorite position when I'm at the computer is lying on my right hand.

That's a great picture! She's very cute! One of my cats, Grady, likes to sit very deliberately in front of the monitor and stare at me when he wants me to feed him.

My four-year old son Mason named our cat. Her name is actually a literary reference: that's the name of Koko's, (the real-life, sign-language speaking gorrilla), Manx cat who dies. Mason read about the original "All Ball" in a great book called "Koko's Kitten."
